Coffee Bean Scrub | First Impressions

I have never heard of such things as coffee scrubs until I saw them blowing up my Instagram feed. After that I knew the time would come where I would have to try one. The first on my list that I have tried is the Mr Bean Body Coffee Bean Scrub*.

This scrub is 100% natural and has lots of added benefits for your skin. It helps with rough skin, dry skin, acne, and stretch marks. Because of the natural ingredients, you are not adding chemicals onto your skin that can dry out, irritate and clog up your skin, instead it will enhance your natural skin and nourish it with the skin loving nutrients. Along with all of that Mr Bean Body uses Fair trade ingredients to produce their scrub.

The first thing you notice about the scrub is the smell, it's a strong coffee scent with a touch of sea salt which I actually enjoy. However of your not a coffee lover then you may not. If you can get past the smell I would highly recommend this scrub to you. After just one use my skin felt rejuvenated and smooth. I suffer from acne on my arms and using the Mr Bean Body scrub in the shower honestly seemed to help smooth and reduce the redness on my arms. I can truly say that the acne on my arms has reduced dramatically. I use the scrub all over my body and it has the same effect as it does on my arms. My whole body feels much smoother, I find that after using it my moisturizer sank into my skin much better and things such as tanning lotions went on a lot smoother without streaking at all.

Mac Peach Blossom | First Impressions

Hello everyone, you may know that a while back I picked up my very first Mac lipstick in 'Creme Cup' and did a first impressions post on it. Well recently one of my best friends, Christine went to America and brought me back another Mac lipstick in the shade 'Peach Blossom', which is yet another gorgeous shade.

Like all other Mac lipsticks it retail's for £15, but because my friend picked it up from the US it was slightly cheaper! I recommend doing your research on what shade to get before you purchase a Mac lipstick as you don't want to be disappointed after spending so much money on one.

  

At first glance 'Peach Blossom' looks very similar to 'Creme Cup' in the sense that it is a neutral toned pink shade. However comparing the two 'Creme Cup' is more of a blue toned pink whereas 'Peach Blossom' is a darker peach shade. Like 'Creme Cup' it is a creme-sheen finish, so is not overly matte, shimmery or drying on your lips. The formulation is really smooth, and it glides onto your lips without sinking into fine lines. I'm guessing that creme-sheen is going to be my favourite formulation of Mac lipsticks, I just love the way it looks and feels on your lips. The pigmentation is more sheer than opaque, which I actually like as it really nicely tints your lips to a 'your lips but better' shade. With closer glance of the lipstick you can see a hint of blue iridescent shimmer which isn't noticeable once it is on your lips. The actual colour is very build-able and can be made into a full peach/pink shade. I think this shade is perfect for the Spring and Summer months as it is a subtle way to wear a peach lip that isn't overly obvious. Like all Mac lipsticks I can't write a post on them without mentioning how good they smell! they honestly smell like sweets and vanilla. I think that like 'Creme Cup', 'Peach Blossom' is such a universal shade that would suit pretty much any skin tone as it's a versatile nude shade. Like most lipsticks though the lasting power isn't great and I do have to re-apply it throughout the day, I am yet to find a long lasting lipstick (sigh).

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Polish | First Impressions

My nails were always really brittle and always peel, that's not good if as soon as your nails are lovely and long they break, which is what always happen to me. I have this weird thing with my nails that the first layer always peels off, does anyone else get that? So I decided to pick up this top coat that claims to strengthen your nails. It's the Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Strengthener. I picked it up from Boots for just £4.75, which I think is a great price even if it's just for a top coat.

I apply this just as a normal top coat over any coloured nail polish, and wait for it to dry. Overall it is a great top coat and has a really nice finish and shine to your nails. It helped my nail polish last a lot longer, I noticed without chipping. After 2 days there already seemed to be a difference in my nails and I do have to say they did seem to be getting stronger and they were no longer peeling as much. After I had removed it using my normal nail polish remover a week later, I  can honestly say my nails looked and felt a lot healthier. They don't bend or chip as easily which is a great benefit as they almost always used to bend and break. I also don't seem to get the weird peeling thing anymore either, which also is amazing!

If your considering buying this and thinking does it really work? then I suggest you pick it up and see if it works for you. Even if you don't notice a change in your nails like I did, it does make a great top anyway. I think this is an overall great product that really helped my nails. Tanya Burr Lips and Nails | First Impressions

Hello everyone, I am probably one of the last bloggers to get my hands on Tanya Burr's new makeup line called Tanya Burr Lips and Nails. As soon as I heard Tanya was releasing her own line of makeup, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for it. I went on the websites and stalked all of the colours and chose my favourites. They are available on Feel Unique and now in stores in some larger Superdrug. If I hadn't restrained myself I can assure you I would have come out with every different shade, but in the end I went for the neutral shades that I would be able to wear over and over.

The lip gloss I picked up is in the shade 'Just Peachy' it is a gorgeous peachy nude shade with tiny flecks of shimmer that are hardly noticeable. They retail for £6.99, I personally think that's an amazing price for a drugstore lip product. These lip glosses are super pigmented, and have a consistency more like a liquid lipstick. I love the formula, as it's isn't too sticky but not matte in any way, so it doesn't sink into the fine lines in your lips but adds a really nice glossy finish to them. I can't not do a first impressions and not mention how amazing these lip glosses smell! they honestly smell exactly like strawberry laces to me, which makes me want to eat it but I'm pretty sure they're inedible. After applying the lip gloss I noticed how well the colour lasted! after I drank and ate the glossy finish did fade however the colour seemed to stain my lips and leave a 'your lips but better' shade which I have to say I loved.

Funny enough the nail polish I picked up in 'Peaches and Cream' looks almost exactly the same colour as the lip gloss. I know 'Peaches and Cream' is a blogger favourite, which is one of the main reasons I picked it up! The nail polishes retail for £5.99 which again is an affordable price. The shade of nail polish I haven't really seen before, it's a peachy warm toned nude, you usually see pink toned nudes so this is a great lead on from that. I am a huge fan of nude nails, as they make it appear your wearing no polish and overall just makes your nails look nicer and well finished. Once I had applied it, it seemed to dry quite quickly surprisingly, I though it would take longer as it is a thick formula and the polish itself was really opaque after two coats. I found that this polish didn't chip on me easily and lasted me almost a full week without chipping and my nails are usually prone to peeling and chipping after a day or two. 

Overall I would highly recommend checking out Tanya's collection, it's really worth it! Both products are high quality and I love both of them. I hope you enjoyed this post and leave a comment below telling me what I should pick up next from the line? Thank you for reading.

L'oreal Paris Supersizing Spray | First Impressions

Hello everyone and I'm back today with a first impressions post. I thought I would mix it up and make this post about a hair product I recently picked up: The L'oreal Paris Studio Line #TXT Volume Supersizing Spray (that was a mouthful) I picked up this product mainly for the reason I have very flat hair at my roots and need extra volume, but I have also heard a lot of bloggers talking about it, so of course I had to pick it up.

This is a new release from L'oreal and it's part of their Studio Line #TXT range, which is supposed to give you salon looks and is based around giving your hair body and texture. It says it 'gives back-combed volume and instant matte texture' which was what drew me to it in the first place. It is meant to be applied into the roots and then scrunched in for the best results.

When I first sprayed it into my roots it didn't make my hair feel crispy at all, which some texture sprays do. I then scrunched my hair at the roots, and it seriously looked like my hair exploded. But after fixing it up a bit, it looked fine and not like I had been dragged through a hedge backwards. The first thing I noticed was the amount of volume it gave to my hair, I am a big fan of messy wavy hair and this product really gives you a backcombed look. It also claims to give a matte look to your hair, which I actually noticed it did straight away, it created a really nice beachy look to my hair. It didn't way down my hair, if I'm honest it wasn't heavy at all, it's very light and left my hair brushable and not crunchy. However after a few hours of applying it I noticed the volume had completely gone from my hair, so it's not very long-lasting . That means I have to keep topping it up through the day, which isn't great but I think it's worth it for the amount of volume it first gives.

Mac Lipsticks | First Impressions

Mac Lipstick - 'Creme Cup'

Hello everyone, I recently picked up my first ever Mac lipstick in the shade, yes you guessed it creme cup. Creme cup has been the cult favourite Mac lipstick for as long as I can remember. Today I am going to give you my first impressions.

Before spending a ridiculous £15 on a lipstick I did some research to find out the shade I wanted to purchase. The shade that kept cropping up was creme cup and of course that lead to me buying it, who could resist? Almost all the reviews I read about Mac lipsticks in general had positive feedback and I can see why. I bought creme cup which is a creme sheen finish, so is there for not drying and has a nice mate but glossy finish.

When I first opened the lipstick, the first thing that came to my mind was the smell, it smells amazing! It smells exactly like cupcakes which is in no way a bad thing. The actual colour of creme cup is a pinky nude shade, which I personally love. I've heard that all Mac lipsticks are amazing quality and this is no exception. At first swatch I could see it was highly pigmented, and not overly pink but buildable. When applied onto the lips it has a smooth application and it gilds onto the lips. I applied one layer, however if you wanted a stronger pink tone then you could build it up more. The shade of the lipstick is such a universal shade and would suit so many different skin colours. I have quite pale skin and it didn't make me look dead at all, it's like a my lips but better shade. Because of it being a creme sheen finish it does not dry out your lips at all and I find it to actually be quite moisturizing. The lasting power of the lipstick isn't amazing and doesn't last all day and it does need touch ups throughout the day however it does last a good while compared to others I have tried. Overall, after trying out my first ever Mac lipsticks I know I will be picking more up soon, they are definitely worth the price and are such better quality than some drugstore lip products.
