A Collective Haul

Hello everyone and as I have recently been to London and did some shopping whilst there, and I figured I would show you the things I bought. I did not buy all of this at once, I have put the London purchases with things I have picked up over the past weeks.

The first place I went in London was Brandy Melville, it's the only store in the UK so I had to take up the opportunity. I bought three tops, all of which are super soft! The first one I got was this striped slouchy fit T shirt or the Quinn top, it has to be the softest thing ever. I then got one of their all famous muscle tanks, this one is the Jandra roman numerals tank. Finally from Brandy I picked up the Wylie flannel, which I like to throw in over T shirts, it adds to a plain outfit.

The next place I went was Urban Outfitters, which has to be my all time favourite shop. From there I picked up yet another shirt, this one has a small gingnam print with a really cute white collar and cuffs. When it comes to bikinis I always leave it until last minute to buy them and then they are always sold out. So this time I bought one in February (am I mad?) anyways I bought this really cute blue daisy print one.

Then on two trips to Topshop, In London I bought the stripe tunic, which I have been seeing everywhere recently. On my next trip I bought yet another striped thing (can you tell I'm obsessed?) this time though it's a striped crop top with a pocket on the side. On thing I have been meaning to get for the longest time are some black jeans, I finally decided to cave in and buy the black Leigh jeans these are just a staple item that goes with any outfit. Last but not least from Topshop, I got this really cute pastel blue double layer shell top, I got this because spring is nearly here and yet my wardrobe is mainly black and white so I needed to inject some colour!

I can't walk past a Lush and not go in, they pull you in by the smell. Lush have just brought out their Easter collection which I took full advantage of! I bought the brightside bubble bar  which has a tangarine scent to it and it's really refreshing. I then picked up the bunny bubble bar which was too cute to leave behind, the scent of this one is coconut palm. The only bath bomb I picked up was the butterball, it smells exactly like cocoa butter. This bath bomb has small chunks of cocoa butter in it so it really helps to moisturize your skin.

The next thing I have to show you in this collective haul is a curling wand, I have been watching so many tutorials on YouTube of people with their hair curled and always loved the way it looks, so I finally picked one up. The one I got was the Babyliss boutique soft waves wand, which is quite a large barrel that gives you loose natural looking waves.

Last but certainly not least for this haul is this gorgeous deer jewellery organizer I picked up from Sass & Belle in Covent Garden. I love this piece and it holds all of my necklaces and earrings perfectly!

That is all the things I have bought over the past few weeks, as you can tell I have recently been on a clothing spree rather than a makeup one. I am now on a spending ban for the next month and surely need it! Thank you for reading and I'll talk to you in my next post.

My Time In The City

Hello everyone and I have recently got back from a weekend in London. The purpose of this trip was to visit The Harry Potter Studios, however I did manage to squeeze in a bit of shopping whilst there and fear not a haul will be coming soon. But I thought that I would share with you some pictures of my time in London.

I visited the only Brandy Melville in the UK and did some damage.
This was a model the producers made of the castle.
This was Gryffindors Boys dorm.

The original Chamber Of Secrets door.
The Costumes from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The dining hall, one downside that the candles don't really float from
the roof.

Most of the main props, which played key parts in each film.
Each wand of each character.

Gryffindors uniform (that cardigan though Neville).
Dumbledors office.

Diagon Alley.

Featured in the Goblet of Fire.
The next morning we went for breakfast at colberts.

I had an amazing time in London and those were few of many pictures I took. I love visiting London and especially for this occasion, I have seen all the Harry Potter films and am a huge huge fan. If your a Harry Potter fan like me then I highly recommend you go. You get to see how the films were made; ride a broom; I was fortunate enough to go when the animals were there; You also get to see the props and costumes in real life not just on a screen.

I hope you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for my next one.

What's In My Travel Makeup Bag | City Break

Hello everyone, as you are reading this I am most probably in London. As I am travelling this weekend I figured I would do a what's in my makeup bag post, and show you what I like to take with me for a short city break.

My makeup bag is from Cath Kidston, it's the smallest size. I use this as when I go away for the weekend I don't want to take my whole collection with me, just the essentials and this makeup bag is the perfect size.

The first things in my makeup bag are my brushes. I have the Ecotools powder brush, for powder; Models Own angled blush brush, for contour; real techniques base shadow brush, for the crease; Ecotools flat shadow brush, for all over the lid; Real Techniques accent brush, for smudging out eyeliner and finally the Real Techniques detailer brush, for concealer. I like to take all of these brushes as most of them are multipurpose.

For bases I am taking my trustworthy Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the shade 15, and the Revlon Colourstay BB Cream, in case I want a fuller coverage.

To set that in place I am taking the Rimmel Stay Matte powder which unfortunately is starting to look a bit worse for wear.

Also to add a bit of definition to my face I am taking my Sleek Face Contour Kit, which comes complete with a bronzer and highlight.

Next I have my chosen lip products, I usually stick to two products; one for day and one for night. This time I have chosen my Mac lipstick in the shade 'Creme Cup' which I have posted about here, also for the night I am taking a slightly darker shade which is the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in the shade 'Elusive' which I have reviewed here.

Moving onto the eyes, mascara is my key makeup item and can't go out without it. I think it really completes any look. I am taking my trusty Maybelline The Rocket Volume Express mascara in 'black'. Which is my all time favourite mascara for both lengthening and volumizing.

For eyeliners I stick to the basics with a liquid, pencil and cream. Here I am taking the Rimmel Scandaleyes liquid eyeliner, which has a small nib for precise application. Also the Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Pencil in the shade 'nude', which I apply on the waterline and it really brightens them up. I am finally taking the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in the shade 'Milk', which I use for highlight.

For eye shadows I keep to what I know. I take a base in this case the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade 'On and On Bronze'. I take also two eye shadows on for the lid and one for the crease, here I am taking Mac's in the shades 'All That Glitters for the lid and 'Sable' for the crease, which I have reviewed here.

Those are all the makeup items I am taking to London. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know your essentials for travelling, and what stays in your makeup bag.

Plain White | Spring Edit

Hello everyone, with spring right around the corner I thought I would do a quick post based around it. This post is going to be based on a clean simple look for your nails: white.

White nail polish is a step up from plain nudes and is in. All nude nail polishes are in this spring and summer, including white. They have been seen all over S/S catwalks recently, because of their opportunities with styling. White nail polishes give a clean sleek finish too an outfit without being overly boring. Some particular nude shades don't suit my skin tone as I am so pale, but white nail polish is perfect for any skin tone, but they do look especially great in the summer with a tan.

You don't have too spend a fortune on the perfect shade either, my shade I use is '365' from Barry M and it's just a clean sharp white, and was only £2.99 from Boots. I love the application and after two coats the shade was opaque. The great thing about white nails is that they go with any outfit and are perfect for any season, like black too.

I hope you enjoyed this short post, I'm sorry it's a quick one but I am currently packing for London. But rest assured there will be another post up on Friday rather that Saturday and Sunday. Thank you for reading.
