Real Techniques Brushes | Review

Once I got one set of the Real Techniques brushes, I knew I had to complete the collection. I currently own the 'Core Collection' and the 'Starter Set'. I first heard about these brushes all over YouTube and blogs about their high quality which of course I couldn't resist.

If you weren't already aware Real Techniques brushes are made by the lovely Samantha Chapman, who is a Youtuber. The sets retail for £21.99, which I think is a great deal for them as they are great high quality and you get four to five brushes per set! I picked mine up from Boots, but they are also available in Superdrug and online.

The 'Core Collection' comes with four brushes for your face. It comes with a buffing brush, contour brush, detailer brush and the pointed foundation brush. This was the first set of brushes I got my hands on and I wasn't disappointed. All of these brushes are amazing quality, they are super soft and blend in all makeup beautifully. I use all of these brushes except for the pointed foundation brush simply because I prefer to buff my makeup in. When I wash these brushes, they wash really well and don't shed at all and once they are dried they are the same softness as before. All of the brushes are densely packed so will give your complexion a flawless finish.

Moving onto the 'Starter Set' which is based for you eyes. This set comes with the base shadow brush, deluxe crease brush, accent brush, brow brush and the pixel point eyeliner brush. I personally don't use most of these brushes for there title, I think they all have better uses I guess? I use the eyeliner one for my inner corner, the base shadow brush for blending and the crease brush for concealer. As you can see I like to break the rules. I love all of these brushes and how you can use them all to create different eye looks. Like the 'Core Collection', these brushes are just as high quality and don't shed after washing. The only brush I don't like from this set is the brow brush, I don't like it because I feel like it is to big to create a natural look with my brows. So unfortunately I get no use out of it.

Out of the two sets I own, I would have to say the 'Starter Set is my favourite one as I love to create different eye looks with it and I don't usually wear a ton of base makeup. If you are looking to try the Real Techniques brushes I think you should decide which makeup you wear most for example eye or base and take it from there. But overall they are a amazing affordable brushes, one of the best I have seen at the drugstore. I hope you enjoyed this post and thank you for reading.
